The BFC Fashion Trust Class of 2026 Has Landed
If British fashion thrives on grit as much as glamour, then the latest recipients of the BFC Fashion Trust are in excellent company.
The British Fashion Council has announced the six designers selected for its 2026 Fashion Trust grants: Clio Peppiatt, Conner Ives, Nicholas Daley, Paolo Carzana, Patrick McDowell and Tolu Coker. The programme, founded in 2011, provides financial support and industry guidance to help independent brands scale at a crucial point in their growth.
Together, the cohort represents a particularly strong snapshot of contemporary British fashion: from Clio Peppiatt's fantastical embellishment and Conner Ives' sharp cultural commentary to Nicholas Daley's rich exploration of heritage, Paolo Carzana's poetic craftsmanship, Patrick McDowell's sustainability-first vision and Tolu Coker's thoughtful storytelling.
The recipients were selected by an industry panel chaired our very own Caroline Issa, BFC Board Member and Chief Executive and Fashion Director of TANK and Because, who highlighted the qualities that continue to define British design talent.
"The shortlisted finalists personified so much of what makes British talent and brands so special – resilience, determination, uniqueness and boldness," said Issa. "Our panel of experts and business leaders were all impressed by their vision, acumen and drive."
At a time when independent fashion businesses are navigating increasingly complex terrain, the BFC Fashion Trust remains one of the industry's most meaningful votes of confidence. Consider this both a well-deserved accolade and, hopefully, a catalyst for what's next.
