We’re always left wide-eyed for beautiful bottles, and in the nail varnish world, bottles don’t come much prettier than Smith & Cult’s. The metallic lids have been hammered into imperfect ripples and dents, and each bottle contains a colour as exquisite as its encasing. The varnish leaves a brilliant, glassy shine that’s longwearing, vegan and 8-Free (free from dibutyl phthalate, toluene, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin and camphor, xylene, ethyl tosylamide, triphenyl phosphate).

Each shade is inspired by an experience that founder Dineh Mohajer has created for a fictional heroine – there are bold brights, slinky nudes and bedazzling glitters. Because loves Dark Like Me, a sultry and moody aubergine, as well as Shattered Souls, the perfect gold glimmer. And we’re really excited about the new shades for summer: a delicious sorbet yellow called The Bee Side and Subnormal, a chic cement-grey. Now we really can’t wait to get our toes out.

Smith & Cult nail lacquers are available to buy from Net-a-Porter, or have them professionally applied during a manicure at DryBy.
