If you had already thought there wasn’t any more room inside your cramped make-up bag then you’re going to need to buy a bigger one. As spring continues and summer approaches, it’s time to get some colour back in your cheeks. Perfect for the indecisive or the blush averse, these bumper blusher palettes are having a moment and breaking free of the traditional single pan – or even single cream stick, liquid tint – offering. Hourglass Illume Sheer Colour Trio “Sunset”, £54 from Space NK

If you can get your hands on this swoon-worthy Hourglass palette – it sells out faster than you can turn an hourglass, or should we say second-glass? – then you’d be fool not to swipe one up. In a nutshell: it’s warming in a 1990s supermodel way. The cream bronzer is non-glittery, universally flattering, the blush a shade of good-enough-to-eat apricot and the highlighter, in true Hourglass glory, is utter moonlit perfection.
