With 96.9M posts under #nailart on Instagram and a further 16.1B views on TikTok, the popularity of this modern art form shows no signs of slowing down. Just when we think we’ve seen it all – from the modest french manicure adorned with gems to mesmerising geometric patterns and impossibly long acrylic claws – a refresh of our feeds proves us wrong with a slew of captivating designs on the tiny canvas increasing by the day. Leading the way on Instagram-worthy nail art in London (and the wider social media community) is BhamBNails. Synonymous with trending nail designs including 3D chrome and tortoiseshell detailing, it's no wonder the founder Pria Bhamra is our city’s most in-demand nail artist. And lucky for us, Pria is bringing her expertise to the masses this autumn as she takes over The Parlour at Browns Brook Street and new treatment space in Browns East. Forget staring at our phones, transfixed by the steady hands and wild designs because now you can do so in real life and walk away with an enviable mani. To give you inspiration before you head to the nail bar, we asked Pria for the top three trends to try this season.

Tortoiseshell and neon tips

"This design is a firm favourite during the autumn period. The warm brown tones compliment everyone, and I love how when finished, each design is slightly different and unique. Another way to update this classic look and make it a little more statement-worthy is to add coloured French tips in neon-brights, giving you a fun edge to a chic muted style. I anticipate this style is going to be a hit at my Browns residency, and I can’t wait to re-create this look."

Tribal 90s-style tattoos

"I love creating this throwback design on my clients as it’s super intricate, requires very detailed, challenging illustration work (something I love to do) and you can get as creative as you like with the text. For Halloween, I’ve been updating this with skeleton letters, which just gives it that spooky, impactful feel."

Swiggly and simple

"Simply created using a fine liner brush, you can go as abstract as you want with this design. I love that the limit does not exist here, and you can mix any geometric shapes, contrasting colours and wild patterns to create a seriously stand-out look relatively quickly and easily."
