There's no doubt that nature and all its healing properties have been top of mind for all of us over the last year. With lockdown came a reckoning with our private and public spaces, and the flight from urban jungle to British countryside is reflected in the latest real estate figures released in the UK with an increase in value and demand for larger homes outside of major cities.

A need to be more in tune with green space, waterways and flora around us means a big welcome to a fragrance created in the most considerate ways to nature. Cue the newest perfume RIVIÈRES DE CARTIER (INSOUCIANCE is pictured here) whereby Cartier’s in house perfumer, Mathilde Laurent, has captured the life and raw beauty of water in the new fragrance trio.

The three perfumes pay homage to nature and its rivers: 100% of the alcohol content is derived from plant based ingredients and it contains no artificial colours. Each bottle is refillable, with a lighter glass aimed at consciously limiting its carbon footprint.  Even the box cardboard packaging, obtained from sustainably managed forests, is made from one single piece of material and is now smaller in size.

If you happen to live in London and dream of wide open green spaces and canoeing down rivers, then this might be the fragrance to transport you there with a whiff of its scent.
