Now that it’s February, and the days are staying lighter a little longer, we’re finding ourselves with fewer and fewer excuses not to get out and about – and, with our must-see cultural guide to the Capital, we know you'll want to join the party! From London's Fashion Week Festival to the helium hilarities not just for your birthday, we've got your 28 days all planned out.

POP SHOP x Browns East Pop Up
Lift your spirits and pop along to Browns East, where an eccentric installation of POP SHOP Balloons has taken up residence. A helium-filled hoard of inflated flamingos, unicorns, champagne bottles, and perky pineapples, purchase one (or many) of these novelties on the spot and let your inner child run riot. As if we ever needed a reason to go bloomin’ balloonin’ bonkers...

POP SHOP Balloons' Pop Up installation runs from 1st February – 5th March at Browns East, 21 Club Row, Shoreditch, E2 7EY. Main image courtesy of Browns.

T-Shirt: Cult – Culture – Subversion
The humble T-Shirt has been an unsung hero of fashion for the past 100 years – but now, thanks to a new exhibition at The Fashion and Textile Museum, it’s finally getting its time in the spotlight.

Presented in a thematic timeline that spotlights private pieces from the archive of Vivienne Westwood – from the evolution of the logo iteration, to its position as a band's backstage staple, to the moment it gained unisex status – the timely threads of the T-shirt are unravelled with this long-overdue homage to the wardrobe icon.

T-Shirt: Cult – Culture – Subversion runs from 9th February – 6th May at the Fashion and Textile Museum, 83 Bermondsey Street, SE1 3XF.

London Fashion Week Festival
As part of the greater Fashion Month extravaganza – and the finisher to on-schedule London Fashion Week festivities – the Fashion Week Festival is an event you simply can’t turn down. Where fun isn’t reserved solely for the front row, this four-day gala is open to all who wish to experience the runway, first-hand. With a selected designer showing each day (the colour queen Dame Zandra Rhodes and the ever-edgy Nicopanda have been announced so far!), as well as industry talks and expert Q&As, this style-heavy event gets you up close and personal to the fashion industry’s greatest minds.

The London Fashion Week Festival runs from 22nd February – 25th February at Store Studios, 180 The Strand, WC2R.
