Sixty-seven years to the day that I Love Lucy first aired with actress Lucille Ball – who, pioneeringly, self-produced the series – this Monday we’re harking back to her famous words on self-worth and self-love that resonate now, in the wake of World Mental Health Day, as much (if not more) than they have ever done... “Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. You really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.”

Whatever self-love and self-acceptance looks like to you – from the smallest step of daily affirmations, to therapy, to meditation, to exercise, to simply taking the time to breathe deeply now and again – there’s no time like the present to turn focus towards the wellbeing and inner happiness of number one.

For us, that looks like relaxing aromatherapy that revives the spirit and allows us to become more attuned with our senses. What about you?

May your week be happy, healthy, and filled with self-love.
