Francis Giacobetti Vernissage Exhibition
Remember those seminal, nude Lui Magazine shoots and covers from the 1960s and 1970s? Francis Giacobetti is the man behind them. Working with the publication from its inception in 1963 through to 1985, Francis was the magazine’s principal photographer – and yet, it wasn’t until recently, following a long-drawn-out trial over ownership rights, that he’s been able to retrieve and display his original transparencies. Now, with access to the archives, Maison Assouline makes it possible for us to see 15 of his most iconic photographs in a show created in partnership with VANDARTISTS. Witness, wonder, and enjoy!

Bold Tendencies
Starting life as a long-term art project for gallerist Hannah Barry in 2007, Bold Tendencies – which calls the rooftop spaces of a Peckham carpark ‘home’ – has since flourished into the place to be if you’re anyone who’s anyone. Now in its twelfth summer residency, the non-for-profit organisation presents ten new commissions from ten international artists that each explore the subject of ecology in a contemporary context. Make your way down to the southside of the Thames, and whet your appetite for some culture in the Capital – plus a cocktail or two from Frank’s café, the flagship architectural commission.

Galeria Melissa x Fashion East
Kick-starting the careers of designers left, right and centre – from the likes of Jonathan Saunders and Gareth Pugh to Marques’Almeida – Lulu Kennedy’s Fashion East has long been an incubator of the coolest up-and-coming London talents. To celebrate its current collective of womenswear designers, Fashion East has joined forces with PVC footwear pioneers, Melissa, to create bespoke garments and editorials that take their ‘contortionist’ cues from the stretch and rubber elements of Melissa’s signature look. Being Somewhere Else Exhibition 
Blessed with the vast and varied expanse of the Capital's culture, we’re often all too guilty of getting caught within the confines of our little London bubble. However, a trip out of town has piqued our interest this month, demanding that we board the next train outta' here! Birmingham-born fashion designer Osman Yousefzada’s first solo show – combining fashion and art, as well as his own personal experience with migration – is coming to his hometown's renowned IKON gallery. Key works include a tent-like installation covered in delicate hand-embroidered cloth and patterned with a repeated signature based on Osman’s mother’s mark, as well as a film series made in partnership with Livia Firth.

The exhibition runs from 6 June-29 June 2018 at Ikon Gallery, 1 Oozells Square, Brindleyplace, Birmingham, B1 2HS.
