WHY // I was introduced to Amanda through a mutual friend when I was seeking some advice about screenwriting for the first time. She was so passionate and encouraging – it made me believe I could actually pursue it and that my voice could be heard.



Amanda has time for everybody. She must be one of the busiest people in the film industry, but whenever I see her she is always so calm and kind. She is really committed to nurturing new and interesting talent from all backgrounds and to giving emerging filmmakers all over the uk access to education and funding. She is continually tackling gender and diversity inequality within the industry, and has a new book recommendation for me every time we bump into each other! I have no idea how she finds the time...
