Because Magazine’s Little Black Book is far more than your average city guide. An insider directory to London, as seen through the eyes of our friends in fashion, beauty, fitness, food and the arts – all of them, experts in their fields – it’s your go-to Where’s Where for niche and noteworthy recommendations to help you navigate and use our Capital at its best. This week, arbiter of the female suit, Racil Chalhoub, shares her favourite place to sit back with a cocktail – or three.

Where… The bar at Isabel in Mayfair (26 Albemarle Street, Mayfair, W1S 4HY), but I can’t forget Chiltern Firehouse, which is definitely another spot worth mentioning.

Why… Both have this cool old school glam side to them – and the bartenders know how to make a mean cocktail!

Because… At Isabel they make the best Moscow Mule (which I have renamed a Mexico Mule, since I like it tequila based!). As the bar feels a bit ‘Scarface’, I would wear a slip dress, heels and jacket on my shoulders.

When she isn’t sipping on the finest cocktails in town, Racil Chalhoub can be found leading her eponymous brand, RACIL, down the path of success: perfecting the easy tuxedo and statement dress, and most recently launching her joyful collaboration with Aquazzura – with shoes and dresses to party in.

International style comes naturally, and Racil’s inclination to a bright colour palette translates into a jetset wardrobe. Born in Beirut, raised in Paris and living in London, her clothes will add pizzazz to any closet. From satin blazers to candy-stripe culottes, the pieces are made to see you through the day, from coffee to cocktails.

Characterised by the famed Le Smoking suit, Racil is taking day-to-night dressing by storm, by way of her soft power suiting. With Racil, wear your tux with a pair of converse and accessorise with a glass of Moscow Mule for the ultimate nightlife glam.
