With lockdown having come to an end, some time away from the confines of our homes couldn't be more in demand than now. If getting out and about takes your fancy but international travel does not, then look no further for Great British get-away inspiration.

In celebration of Alice Temperley upping sticks and moving her namesake brand's headquarter to Ilminster, Somerset, we've asked her to share what one should do if they choose to embark on a holiday to the West country.

Where should you stay?
"The Lord Poulett Armsis the epitome of stylish country comfort and a great spot for a long lazy lunch.

Opt for The Newt for unparalleled sophistication and luxury or stay At The Chapel in Bruton for a fun arty vibe."

Where should you shop?
"I love my sister’s skincare shop Make Skincare at Bowden’s Farm in Hambridge and the giftshop and café next door, The Smokery, sells perfect gifts.

Burrow Hill Cider Farm shop has the best selection of ciders, brandies and apple juice in Somerset, and it's is where I grew up."

Where should you eat?
"To eat out my new favourites would have to be 28 Market Place in Somerton. The food is consistently out of this world delicious and the bakery attached serves tasty bread, coffee and ice cream.

And just across from our headquarters in Ilminster is Today’s Menu, who look after us very well with creative but unfussy dishes by Alex Nutt."

And finally...
"For a little shopping and a cup of coffee, come to Phoenix Studios for some Temperley London glamour in the heart of Ilminster. If we're not serving, I recommend the Trading Post Farm Shop for local seasonal, organic, food and a good coffee and cake.

These are a few of my favourite places!"
