Through a united love of black, Peter Lindbergh and Azzedine Alaïa had an artistic partnership that complemented each other's work. Now, their work has be immortalised in print via this tome from Taschen.

Peter Lindbergh, Azzedine Alaïa showcases in 240 pages the unique dialogue between the two artists, which resulted in black and white photography of Alaïa's world. The pair met in 1979, and Lindbergh describes their relationship as being "hand in glove." This is clearly evident through Lindbergh's photography; the book is filled with intimate images of Alaïa himself, behind the scene shots of him working on his pieces and portraits of some of the most iconic women within the industry – read: Naomi Campbell, Helene Fischer and Jade Jagger to name a few – wearing Alaïa's clothes.

As with all of Lindbergh's photography, these images capture the pure emotional state of his subjects, and they show the courtier's extraordinary designs at their best. Whether you're a fashion aficionado or not, it's guaranteed that you'll be captivated by their beauty.
