The Londoner Hotel opened in September 2021, at a time when London was suffering from a lack of tourists due to Brexit and COVID restrictions for travellers into our fair country. And yet, focusing on the vibrant creative beat of the city, the Londoner launched with a bang, hosting Tiffany's fashion week bash and multiple London Film Festival parties. Even during an uncertain time for our city's tourism prospects, it seems to be thriving.

We were invited to stay for a couple of nights during London Fashion Week – a haven of sorts from the madness of the intense show schedule, and a respite from the mess of trying to pull together outfits when one isn't used to dressing up everyday!

With all of the rooms centred around guest areas of zen, yoga classes and lounges, ours (as you can imagine) was a modern oasis, with the large bathtub being the highlight and much luxuriated in. Breakfast in bed, as hotel living can only provide, is the best way to feel like you are properly on holiday, and The Londoner's pancakes now come with a Because Magazine recommendation and stamp of delighted approval!

Despite its location being centred in the uber busy, loud crowds of Leicester Square, it is surely now a new central landmark for both Londoners and visitors alike, and even popping in for afternoon tea will give a sense of being taken on a journey somewhere far, far away from where you actually are.
