The Black British Artists Grants has announced the winners of the Samuel Ross Black British Artists Grant Program 2022, now in its fourth year. This year’s recipients come from diverse disciplines, from Fine Art & Sculpture, fashion, Industrial design and architecture and Photography.

Guest jury members invited by Dr. Samuel Ross (perhaps better known as the man behind London-based A Cold Wall and recently bestowed an Honorary Doctorate for the Arts by the University of Westminster) included Grace Wales Bonner, and Dr. Gus Casely-Hayford of V&A East. Each grantee will receive £2,500 in cash support, as well as support to each winner build relationships which allows them to explore their practices more widely across the UK and abroad. According to the Samuel Ross website, £100k has now been directly donated to supporting Black British artists and entrepreneurs of colour, reaching 42 recipients.
