Selfridges has partnered up with Berlin’s Reference Festival - founded by the PR agency who look after labels such as 44 Label Group, Magliagno and 032c fashion label. Needless to say, they've been championing indie talent for a long while. Now, they have created an immersive exhibition featuring 13 “experiential spectacles and surreal interventions” all with the ambition to provoke customers to consider their consumption and society’s impact on our own futures.

The installation will extend throughout Selfridges London, and is available for public viewing until October 16th - both in person and digitally.   Showcasing a hybrid future to consider whilst strolling through the store, begging the question “If we continue the way we live today, where might this trajectory take using the future?”

The show features the work by Monira Al Qadiri, Katja Novitskova, Sevdaliza, Gentle Monster, Joey Holder, Ottolinger, Oliver Laric, Jakob Kudsk Steensen, Nico Vascellari, Ignota Books, Jan Vorisek, William Darrell and a panel conversation with Hans Ulrich Obrist, he of all cultural debate (and the creative director of Serpentine Galleries).

Creative interventions exploring visions for the future? All within a department store? We're intrigued and you'll find us there to check it out.

On until the 16 October at selfridges.com
