Kanye moves to purchase online brand Karmaloop
Kanye West has expressed his plans to purchase e-retailer website Karmaloop alongside Jay Z’s former manager and business partner Damon Dash. The pair announced the news via Instagram with both hinting at a hiatus from the world of music to focus on this venture. Tagged in the post are a number of designer brands such as Rodarte suggesting the streetwear label under West and Dash’s leadership could bring on board some well known names from the luxury market. The plans for buying Karmaloop which was launched in 2000 come in the wake of their filing for bankruptcy just last week. 

New CEO for Carolina Herrera
Francois Kress has been appointed as the new CEO at Carolina Herrera. Kress will be joining the label from Stuart Weitzman LLC where he held the position as Global President. As the brand nears it’s 34th anniversary the change marks a new era at Carolina Herrera, particularly in light of an upcoming collaboration with Mario Testino which will see the photographer create new visual branding for all products across the CH Carolina Herrera and Carolina Herrera New York ranges.

Tome NYC to open MBFWA
This morning American label Tome NYC announced that they will be the opening show at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, Australia. Founded by Australian designers Ryan Lobo and Ramon Martin, Tome will show their pre-Fall Collection on April 13th in Sydney. The news marks an exciting date in the Australian fashion calendar as the duo return to home turf, ordinarily showing their collections in their creative home, New York. 

IWC Schaffhausen partners with Tribeca Film Festival
The luxury watch manufacturer will once again sponsor the New York film festival, marking the third year of collaboration. The Swiss brand has created a one-off design called the Portofino Monopusher Edition “Tribeca Film Festival 2015” to celebrate this ongoing partnership with the festival which runs from April 15th- 26th. The unique timepiece will be auctioned online through Christie’s website, with profits going to the Tribeca Film Institute. The auction will take place from April 1st.
