Yue Huang is the PR and marketing manager behind East-End fashion boutique Hostem. A self-confessed clothes addict, Yue's fashion career began at Browns, where she was a personal stylist. She then moved over to LN-CC assisting on their global marketing campaigns for almost two years. In her spare time, Yue likes to spend time at her Primrose Hill flat painting, a talent passed down from her artistic Chinese father. Here she shares some of her favourite pieces from her wardrobe.

My Meadham Kirchhoff Dresses

"The dress that I am wearing today and this piece are both by Meadham Kirchhoff. I first came across the brand in 2010, at a great boutique called RA, in Antwerp. I instantly wanted to know more about them and fell in love with their world, it's very emotional and strong. Also, you can tell from the intricacy of the detailing that a lot of time has been invested in making a single garment – apparently the lace on the hem of this dress was all hand sewn. Actually, I wasn't able to get this when it was first available but I eventually got it last year from their studio!"

My MA+ Bag

"I bought this bag from Hostem, not long after I started working there. I'd never had anything in this style but was drawn to how the design references an old doctor's bag. I'm interested in the history behind objects, the way people used them in the past and how they are re-interpreted now."

My Simone Rocha Shoes

"I've been following Simone Rocha since her first season and I love what she does for womenswear. I remember reading an interview around her AW14 collection and she said, 'I want to explore femininity, but in a restricted way' and I can totally feel that statement in these shoes. The language of footwear is one of the strongest, shoes can change the entire impression of an outfit."

My Egg Dress

"Egg has a very distinct aesthetic. Their designs are very minimalist, the majority of their clothes are made from cotton and cut from really interesting patterns. The half-moon shape of this dress is amazing, it opens out into such a huge volume."

My Junya Watanabe Jacket

undefined

"This jacket is from Junya Watanabe's AW11 collection, I absolutely love that season, very subversive but elegant. I remember seeing the collection on the runway and being blown away by his leatherwork, some of the jackets were made from real leather and some were fake but there was no way of telling."

My Prada Shoes

"There's something almost quite Edwardian about these, particularly in the heel. I love how painterly the leather is and there's just the right amount of height. I usually wear flats or boots most of time, so this is a very different sort of style for me. I've had them for a while now, but still waiting for the right occasion to wear them."

My Dries van Noten Jacket

"I love painting and art as inspiration and that has always been a constant in Dries van Noten's work. I went to see his exhibition at Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, where his garments sat beside artworks that influenced him – it was great to physically see that relationship. I was particularly attracted by his embroidery work and the pattern on this jacket reminds me of Renaissance embroidery work."

My Loewe Bag

"Another Hostem find, this bag is called the Flamenco Knot . It's so unique but there's definitely something very classic about it too. I've been wearing it almost everyday since I got it, it's very practical and I can carry it in lots of different ways and the draw strings are really fun."
