There are so many naysayers out there bemoaning the current state of fashion. They just can’t be pleased – nothing is original enough, everything is dull, and black seems to be the only colour on the runway. Apparently. However, Mira Mikati comes in and silences all of these critics. Her style is far from boring – characterised by tongue-in-cheek cartoon graphic designs peppered all over her clothes, from emojis to buzzwords like "wow!" Brightly coloured and unashamedly fun, Mira is quite obviously having the best time in fashion.

Lebanese designer Mira is based in London, and her label was born in 2012 when she was invited (as co-founder of the concept store, Plum) to design a capsule collection for Façonnable. Her designs were so successful that Mira didn’t look back. The fashion house has a cult following, and has been worn by the likes of Rihanna and Beyoncé.

Have a look at the film that Mira made with Because for her AW15 collection. Boring is something she’ll never be accused of.
