The overlap between fashion and art is undeniable. Collaborations between artists and designers are the norm. Just think back to Givenchy’s SS16 runway show in New York, where artistic director Riccardo Tisci collaborated with performance artist Marina Abramovic. In her Fashion Week after-party Victoria Beckham enlisted the help of Martin Creed to recreate his piece “No. 2497, Half the Air in a Given Space,” filling her Dover Street store with white balloons. This week Frieze, the most anticipated art fair in London, kicks off in Regent’s Park. Fashion will undoubtedly make an appearance in the extravaganza – Alexander McQueen’s label McQ is sponsoring the Frieze after-party in the ICA.

Frida's paint-splattered jumpsuit is a more obvious demonstration of art in fashion. We particularly love how the colour scheme is reminiscent of a Mondrian painting, so thanks to Frida for bringing a bit of art into street style.
