Even with the hectic atmosphere of his show casting with numerous models and team-members running around him, Eudon Choi is calm — as if it was any other day.

He’s a man of routine. "The process for the Spring Summer 2017 show is just the same as any other season,” says the serene Choi. The outcome however, is not. His own take on contemporary femininity includes long shirt-dresses, layered tops in pastels and flowy yet adult variations of spotted and striped prints. The inspiration was Francesca Woodman, a progressive American photographer that produced some of the most captivating images of the female body during the 20th century — the romanticism and softness translates into Choi’s latest work.

What’s next for Eudon post his Spring Summer 2017 show? “I haven’t planned anything, but I’ll probably have a lie-in. But I’ll probably get up at 6am anyway because that’s just how my body works.” When a fashion designer has a routine that works for them and still succeeds in producing interesting work season after season, who can argue with that?

Eudon Choi’s Spring Summer 2017 show was held at the Brewer Street Car Park on 16 September 2016. For more information about the designer and his collection visit www.eudonchoi.com.
