Remember back in the late noughties when the economy was suffering and bloggers started selling their pre-loved Miu Miu’s on their websites? Well, hard times are a blessing in disguise because that recessionista movement resulted in Vestiaire Collective.
Fanny Moizant co-founded the pre-owned luxury platform, Vestiaire Collective back in 2009. Today, the website features over 20,000 new items each week with over 400,000 items in total. The success of Vestiaire Collective meant that Moizant and her family relocated from Paris to London a few years ago to take the company global. This move has encouraged the Parisian to experiment with her style by integrating both colour and print into her wardrobe. Her non-vintage favourites? “I love all of the contemporary British designers,” she says.“Mary Katrantzou, Nicholas Kirkwood, Peter Pilotto and Simone Rocha.”
Moizant knows how to mix the contemporary with the heritage and understands that even the best of treasure take years to track down. “I have quite a few pieces I've picked up from Vestiaire over the years. One of them is a Hermès cuff in a deep blue leather which I'd been looking for for over two years.” Patience and passion have been key to her success.
But it’s not all vintage shopping. Moizant gives us an insight to what her week looks like.
Monday: The Shop at Bluebird (350 King's Rd, SW3 5UU)
We recently launched our first UK pop up shop in collaboration with the Shop at Bluebird, which was really a great collaboration for us. I have my eye on a few pieces in the store so I'm planning to do some Christmas shopping for friends, and maybe treat myself to something special when I'm there.
Tuesday: Charlotte Street Hotel (15-17 Charlotte St, W1T 1R) 
I have a Christmas afternoon tea planned with the UK team so after a morning of meetings I'll be spending most of Tuesday afternoon indulging in the Charlotte Street hotel's delicious cakes and a few glasses of champagne We always do a themed Secret Santa which usually provides some surprising gifting ideas.

I'll be starting my day with an editor breakfast at Berners Tavern, then it’s a busy day of back to back meetings in town. If I have time I will go to the Abstract Expressionism exhibition at the Royal Academy, I know I'll miss it completely if I don't go before the Christmas holidays.
Thursday: Clerkenwell Grind (2-4 Old Street, EC1V 9AA) and Hyde Park (W2 2UH)
My Thursday morning will start with a PR shoot in my home in Camden then I'll head to the Clerkenwell Grind to have lunch with a group of close female entrepreneur friends. My girls have horse riding lessons booked in Hyde Park so once I've caught up with some of the international teams on Skype I'll spend the rest of my afternoon there. I love making the most of the beautiful parks London has to offer.
Friday: Dry By ( 74 Mortimer St, W1W 7RZ)
First stop is the Dry By hair salon for a hair treatment with Onira products, my new beauty addiction, and then I head straight to Kings Cross to get the Eurostar to Paris. I have a busy afternoon of strategy meetings with the founding team and then a lovely weekend catching up with family. I love cooking so I'll be spending a lot of my weekend indulging everyone with some homemade French treats.
