Nothing says “I love you” like a fresh bouquet of flowers. Unfortunately, within a couple of days that message has wilted away and all you’re left with is a dirty vase. Bloom & Wild is here to see that your message arrives more simply and lasts longer. “We’re the modern, thoughtful woman’s secret weapon,” says Sara Gordon, Bloom & Wild’s head of brand and creative. “We’re both a nimble technology company that allows you to send flowers in seconds through the letterbox and a flower business that holds design at its heart.” Their innovative delivery system not only allows you to order flowers through an app, it also means buds are hand-packed in a box that can be delivered without the recipient having to wait around for their bouquet.

The Boston native — who began her career in New York working on brand and digital strategy for large companies such as Coca Cola and Saks Fifth Avenue — has been with the flower gift service for nine months. Bloom & Wild, founded in 2013, is “growing exponentially year on year and it’s been the most intense and exciting work I’ve ever done,” states Gordon whose team curates everything “you see, hear and touch that’s Bloom and Wild” from website design to brand partnerships. Most recently they’ve collaborated with Benefit Cosmetics because “What’s better than sending your best friend some flowers and a tube of mascara you know she’ll love and use?”

Gordon has taken floristry in a fresh direction with bouquets that embrace “seasonality, popular culture, trends off the catwalk and interiors to curate a range we’re incredibly proud of.” This includes the Gisele, a tropical bouquet with tiny pineapples released just in time for Rio 2016.

With Benefit workshops to plan and an endless stream of blossoms to arrange, we take a peek into Gordon’s diary for the week.

Monday: Core Collective (45 Phillimore Walk, Holland Park W8 7RZ)

I’ve been coming here for six months now and I find that a spin class in their gorgeous studio is the perfect way to start the week. I’m actually quite competitive and I’m always looking to the right and left of me to see how fast everyone else is going! They’ve just come out with a CC x Lululemon range too, how exciting!

Tuesday: Benefit on Carnaby Street (10 Carnaby St, W1F 9PF)

On Tuesday I have a meeting at the Benefit on Carnaby Street about the joint workshop we are holding on August 11th. We will be doing brows and flower crowns so we are going to work on a plan for how it will all be arranged. I also love coming to the shop to get my brows done, so the meeting is a nice excuse to stop by.

Wednesday: Dutch Flowers Exhibition at The National Gallery (Trafalgar Square, WC2N 5DN)

On Wednesday I will be going to the National Gallery for some floral inspiration. The exhibition includes still life paintings by Jan van Huysum, a favourite of mine, whose work we’ve looked to when designing our bouquets.

Thursday: Artist Residence (52 Cambridge St, SW1V 4QQ)

Thursday I’m heading to the Artist Residence, a hidden gem in Pimlico and a favourite of ours for photoshoots. The rooms are really tastefully done, and they work perfectly for our constantly changing range of flowers (we release a new bouquet every week). The cozy aesthetic is just right for our autumn collection, which we’re starting to shoot this week.

Friday: The Rose Pub (1 Harwood Terrace, SW6 2AF)

Our office is in quite a quiet part of Chelsea by the Design Centre, and luckily we’ve found the loveliest pub tucked away off the Kings Road to turn in to our team’s Friday night hangout spot. There’s nothing better than finishing off the week in a secret garden with Negronis.

Saturday: Chicama (383 King's Rd, SW10 0LP)

One of my favourite restaurants in London is Pachamama and when I heard they were opening a sister restaurant in Chelsea by my flat (and our office) I couldn’t have been more delighted. It’s a restaurant that focuses only on fish. Their grilled fish with chili lobster sauce is one of my favourite things right now.
