Christian Dior has moved house to 160 New Bond Street. Its new home spans four floors holding menswear, homeware, baby-wear, fragrance and womenswear (and changing rooms big enough to throw a kiki).

Frothing over in pink peonies and globular, metallic sculptures, the decor retains the signature romantic futurism of the bygone Raf Simons era (the collection debuting in store is pre-fall 2016, the first collection created after his departure).

What did we discover in the store’s depths? A hypnotising handbag, a cashmere-ical cardigan, a flora handbag to fawn-a over and a pair of earrings that are a fashion bullseye.

Let's see how they stack up.

Dior x Marc Quinn Lady Dior eye bag, £2,500: (pictured above)

Eye yai yai! Artist Marc Quinn has reinvented the Lady Dior handbag in celebration of the new New Bond Street store launch. He’s done so with his typical knack for hyper-real colours and prints. The close-up of an eye resembles a painterly tie-dye print (very trendy this summer). In intense shades of blue and orange, we’re simply getting lost in the eye of this Lady Dior bag.

Earrings (metal with palladium finish), from £310:

These earrings are so on point. With a sparkling pendulum and an ultra-geometric pop of red, they’re perfect for the girl who wants to make a modern statement and eschew her staid earrings of Bah Mitzvah gifts past. We also love how they gently sway when you walk. Now sashay away.

Tejus-calfskin low boots, from £700:

There’s a snake on my boot! And also, rhinestones, eyelets, straps and suede buckles.

These boots, made from Tejus-stamped calfskin, make a bold statement, a little glam rock, a little space-age. We love how Dior style them with a classic, black Bar coat. A good way to keep the snappiness of these boots in check.

Dior x Marc Quinn Lady Dior flower bag, £2,500:

Another irresistible item from the Marc Quinn collection. We love this black orchid bag. The image of the flower itself is more stark than traditionally feminine, and makes a dynamic contrast to the primness of the bag’s silhouette.

Cardigan, from £830:

An ivory cardigan can read quite traditional, but at the house of Dior, it’s updated with the signature Tribal pearl closure. We also like the simplicity of the bolero shape. We’ll be styling it with a mini-dress – we spied the perfect one in store: a silver-embroidered, black lace number from pre-fall (we’re Dior Addicts).
