This week we take sanctuary at Roksanda’s Mount Street flagship. Just like Ilincic’s designs, the space is a glossy, tessellated haven in which every shade of the rainbow is paired with its colour-wheel BFF. What did we discover in its depths? A regally blonde blouse, an entrance-making coat, a cougar-licious top, a dress with an Upper-East vibe and a chunky belt that’s a pelvic MUST.

Let's see how they stack up.

Yellow blouse, £495:

A daffodil-yellow blouse is no wallflower. The vibrant, golden tone flowing through SS16 (we also love that penultimate, yellow ball-gown – hair crimpers have since been purchased in hope of achieving a sliver of the look) is too cheery to resist. But it’s the cut of the blouse that makes it such a compelling purchase: a seam at the shoulder subtly gives you a sharper silhouette; it gently falls down into a romantic bell-sleeve that’s gathered at the cuff. It's an elegant and easy piece to style for any occasion.

Black belt, £470:

Do the Hustle! This vinyl belt is giving us Saturday Night Fever – worn with a high-waisted pair of trousers, we want to shimmy and shake just to show it off. It makes a bigger statement when set against a bright colour (we pair it with fuchsia), but we’d also like to try it with a simple black trouser or midi-skirt. With its lacquered veneer and shiny buckle, it would make a beautifully subtle texture-play for a monochrome look.

Ruffle coat, £1,755:

This is a true-entrance maker for the girl who’s always fashionably late (but bang on trend). We love the desiccated-coconut texture of its fabric, and its luxuriantly sculptural, cloche silhouette.

Yellow vest (available in store at Roksanda), £4,995:

This vest is a work of art. Made from tiers upon tiers of shredded organza in yellow and black, from afar it appears as a bleary, Monet-style retelling of leopard print. In this way, the prospect of donning animal print is that bit less scary (Spice). Though it was rocked on the Roksanda catwalk bare-armed, we’re keen to pair it over a button-down shirt (hello, summer layering).

Pink dress, £895:

A structured midi-dress is a hard statement to fit into daytime dressing, but, as they say, you dress for the job you want. This is certainly a power-dressing piece, slip it on and you feel dangerously invincible. In a shade of shocking pink, we picture wearing it with haughty sunglasses in the back of an Uber, on the way to an important meeting, à la Miranda Priestly.
