Vivienne Westwood may have come a long way from her first store with Malcom McLaren, Let it Rock, at 430 King’s Road (renamed to Worlds End), but her essence remains unchanged. Her designs, while thoroughly luxurious, still have a DIY, punk spirit that is unmistakably Vivienne.

While at the Conduit Street store this week, we got a firsthand look at Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood’s debut collection entitled Sexercise. Westwood’s partner, Kronthaler, has officially been named the lead designer of what originally was Vivienne Westwood Gold Label. The new collection, inspired by Westwood’s Buddhist friend Sharon Lishman, has an East-meets-West quality, with references to world religions and 17th century embroidered patterns. Westwood’s Anglomania collection, on the other hand, looked at early civilisations, Italian architecture and indigenous cultures.

What are we obsessing over? A cozy, oversized cashmere jacket we want to snuggle up in, a leather backpack with iridescent eyes, a MacAndreas tartan throw that can be worn in a multitude of ways, an embellished blazer that’ll look as good on the street as it did on the runway, and a hand-painted leather choker that’ll add an audacious, punk touch to any ensemble.

Colder temperatures call for perfectly oversized sweaters. We love this cashmere unisex jacket with gunmetal buttons and pompom details. Wear with jeans and ankle boots for a glamorous yet disheveled, just-got-out-of-bed look.

Vivienne Westwood Greek Eye Bag£375

We absolutely love this soft leather bug-eyed backpack to add a little playfulness to our everyday look.

This blazer is all rock n’ roll, with charms, studs and buttons. Dress it up by wearing it over your LBD or dress it down by pairing it with your favourite t-shirt. Just make sure not to wear it when passing through airport security!

We know – chokers are everywhere! But how many are hand-painted on? And did we mention it’s also versatile? Wrap it around your wrist twice to wear as a bracelet.
