If you’re a regular on street-style blogs, there’s a big chance you’ve already spotted this stylish French pixie before. Violaine Bernard is an all-round it-girl with experience in a variety of roles within the industry – she went from being fashion director of Velour magazine and consulting for Farfetch to her current role with the PR and Marketing team at Citizens of Humanity. Her personal style is visibly influenced by an easy-going Parisian essence.

For Autumn Winter 2016, Violaine is mostly looking forward to layering and turtlenecks, but she doesn’t really have a specific moodboard in mind. “I’m like a sponge. I can be inspired by anything and everything,” she tells us. She has an innate feel for choosing individual items and putting them together in an easy, unpretentious way.

We found out which 5 pieces are her favourites for the colder days of the year.

Être Cécile “Eclipse Totale” Printed T-shirt

"Statement t-shirts are my favourite way of dressing down evening looks. Either under a dress or worn with a velvet suit jacket, some jeans and a pair of thigh-high snakeskin boots!"

Citizens of Humanity “The Cora” Jeans

"This pair became my go-to since the first time I put them on. It’s a high-rise boyfriend cut in a premium vintage denim that’s based on the legendary Levi’s 501. They are super flattering and go with every single pair of shoes I own."

Vintage Skirt

"I love everything about this skirt - the look, the feel and the memories. I was with my boyfriend in Paris when I bought it last year and it has been my date skirt since then."

Sonia Rykiel for Kids Bag

"This bag may only be able to hold my lipstick, card and phone, but it’s red and velvet, has feathers and makes me happy. I think the fact that it’s Sonia Rykiel for Kids makes me even happier."

Dorateymur Rio Studded Mules

"They make a perfect combination of luxury and comfort and are perfect when I want to look put together without actually wearing heels."
