Pioneers in brand transparency Honest By and Paris-based label Y/Project are collaborating on a capsule collection, and for the sake of your wardrobe and the planet, you should care.

The collaboration marks the return of Glen Martins, Y/ Project’s current creative director, to Honest By after designing their launching line in 2012. Together with Honest By's Bruno Pieters he has created a 6-piece genderless and seasonless wardrobe.

Made up of a billowing striped shirt, a chic trench, patchwork jeans, a turtleneck jumper, a knit dress and a long buttoned skirt, Martens’ talent for unconventional drape and pattern making is clear. The taupe trench features extended shoulder panels for a broad geometric silhouette, an effect mirrored in the draped turtleneck in cotton jersey.

Since Honest By was founded in 2009, the company has spearheaded the movement that we should know how and where things are made and how much they’re really costing us. And so then, it’s no surprise that each piece in this collaboration is made in France and every design element (from buttons, to linings, to hangtags) is 100% transparent and traceable.

Pieters and Martins have well and truly proven it's cool to care.
