What do you get when you take the subversive mind of Jonathan Anderson and put it into the context of a 24-hours raving paradise? An explosion of colours, prints and textiles – it’s the latest Loewe capsule collection created in collaboration with Paula’s, the legendary Ibiza brand and boutique. A blend of bohemian and acid, Anderson interprets the iconic archive in a way that makes the notorious beach party look like the set of a 1970s Bond film.

The collection features dresses, bags, leather wear as well as hats and even some patchwork denim. It’s all quintessentially Loewe by Anderson, with an injection of beach party spirit. The flowy silhouettes are refreshed by the archival prints provided by Paula’s co-founder Armin Heinemann. Even though the store closed at the beginning of the millennium, its heritage has gained a cult status among collectors. With this capsule collection that’s exclusively launching through a digital trunk show at Matches today, the exuberant spirit is being revived with the exciting Loewe twist.

The Because favourites are definitely the leather accessories – you don’t really need a sandy beach to pull off a monkey-printed denim and leather tote. A white boiler suit and a large pair of single-lense sunglasses will make you ready for any daytime party – even the behind your office desk.

The Loewe x Paula’s capsule collection digital trunk show is live on Matchesfashion.com.
