Even though the idea of haute society is no longer a style goal, just a distant memory behind all things urban, deconstructed and unisex, we can never say no to an updated version of a cocktail  bag. Especially if it’s coming from the other side of the pond and is exclusively available just in London. What are we talking about? It’s the new Tory Burch Jacqueline bag.

Coinciding with the brand’s third store in London opening on the corner of Maddox and Regent Street, Tory Burch is launching a bag inspired by Truman Capote’s eternally elegant swans and the purses worn in their soft, gloved hands. The Jacqueline is all about the hard architectural silhouette embellished with modern details – an acrylic cylinder serves as a handle while the  chain link strap becomes bulkier than in those 1960s bags. Tory Burch merges the shiny luxury of the West Coast with the edgier, more contemporary style of New York City. Add a bit of eclectic London spirit and you’ve got yourself the Jacqueline, made for a flowy spring dress and a pair of slip-on trainers. Gloves optional.

The Tory Burch Jacqueline bag is exclusively available in London’s newest Tory Burch boutique, 223 Regent Street, London.
