It was on the 1st March, 1879 (incidentally, a Saturday) that the ever-enterprising Henry Birks opened his namesake jewellery boutique, and what would eventually become Canada’s greatest export, Maison Birks.

While the brand remains steeped in history, held as a beacon of luxury and prestige to this day, this Spring it celebrates new beginnings with its delicate Pétale collection – launched in conjunction with the aptly named #TheGreatCanadianExport campaign, the season's celebratory narrative that stars Caroline Issa alongside Amanda Brugel, and shot by Caitlin Cronenberg.

With their graceful construction and sweeping curves, each bijoux bloom in the SS18 garden is designed to symbolize the growth and fresh perspective that's called to mind at this time of year.

'Florals for Spring' just got luxurious...
