Steel drums ringing, a kaleidoscopic parade of vibrant floats and rainbow-bright costumes, and half of London in their very best festival get-up: Notting Hill Carnival is bringing the fun this Bank Holiday Weekend, and the brightest way to bid farewell to the long city summer.

For the past month, we’ve been on the countdown to the annual extravaganza, eager to celebrate the diversity of our great Capital and get moving to the beats of dancehall, dub and reggae. It’s not often that we get the opportunity to don sequins aplenty in the streets of W11… So, when we do, we’re going at it full throttle!

Trust London Fashion Week’s king of high-octane glitz and jubilant glam, Ashish Gupta, to spruce up the 90s slip with a hand-embellished leopard print, and the bright and beautiful Racil Chalhoub to put a party spin on a jaunty beret… Accessorise all of the above with a metallic and (here’s the clincher) hands-free belt bag by way of Prada, Le Specs + Adam Selman’s white, retro shades and a pair of embellished chunky – a.k.a. dance-appropriate – sandals via Marni, and you’re all set to be the belle of the carnival ball.

It’s the Bank Holiday… Dress like you mean it!

Celebrate community spirit and London’s glorious multiculturalism in the best possible fashion! Snap up the look here:
