However optimistic we try to be when it comes to the weather, it’s time to talk realistically… With cloudy skies and the remnants of a tropical storm charted for the foreseeable, the brief heatwave that graced our Capital this summer looks to be on its way out.

Resisting the urge to fall into the trap of whining about the weather (in true British fashion), we’re changing our tune and embracing all that's going on in the great indoors – starting this weekend with contemporary arts and culture under the roof at the Royal Academy of Arts. 

In the 250th Summer Exhibition’s final days, you can expect to soak up over 1,300 works across multiple disciplines, including works from Royal Academicians Wolfgang Tillmans and Tracey Emin, plus new pieces from David Hockney.
