Fashion heads, you know what time it is: London Fashion Week is upon us!

While we'll be going back-to-back to shows and presentations, sharing all of the best bits with you via our daily roundups and designer spotlight films (and via our Instagram, of course) – there are also myriad ways for you to discover the delights of the style circus, away from the ‘main stage’.

The Weave Project
In celebration of Anya Hindmarch’s new-season Neeson Collection (of beautiful hand-woven bags), an immersive art installation, The Weave Project, pops up for the duration of London Fashion Week.

Taking up residency at fashion’s favourite destination, Brewer Street Car Park (a previous home of LFW), The Weave Project is a giant, woven mesh playground that’s popping up for adults, and going by the name ‘The Tube’.

Created in collaboration with Numen/For Use – a collective working across art, scenography, industrial and spatial design – the oscillating structure welcomes fashionable visitors onboard to climb through and experience it from all angles.

The Weave Project runs fromSaturday 16 until Tuesday 19 at Brewer Street Car Park, 32 Brewer St, Soho, London W1F 0LA. Main image via Anyahindmarch.com

The Innovators Cocktail Reception
It’s #CocktailOClock at Matches Fashion this weekend, and a toast to the new wave of trailblazing designers who have made the cut for its SS19 instalment of The Innovators.

Joining the roster is womenswear designer Harris Reed – a Central Saint Martins student with an appetite for androgyny, who's “fighting for the beauty of gender fluidity” (and whom you might recognise from the Gucci Cruise 2019 runway); Marta Ferri, a Milan-based dressmaker by appointment, who favours florals and saturated hues; and John-Paul Pietrus; a photographer-turned-jewellery designer, who made his debut with the Ruby Teardrop, which takes its cues from the Florentine and Renaissance aesthetic.

RSVP here for your chance to be among the first few to shop the pieces.

The Innovators Cocktail Reception runs Saturday 16 Feb 5.30pm until 7.30pm at 5 Carlos Place, London, W1K 3AP.

Erdem x J. Sheekey Atlantic Bar
With a stylish special launch at London Fashion Week, and running all the way until September, Erdem is putting elegance on the menu at J. Sheekey’s iconic Atlantic Bar in Covent Garden.

Drawing influence from jewellery and Japanese patterns, Erdem will transfer the bar’s famous Plateau de Fruits de Mer silver platter with his signature fantastical aesthetic.

“It is inspired by traditional Japanese illustrations of the Koi fish, which has always held a certain beauty to me; Japan has been a place of great inspiration for my work over the years,” the designer explained.

We’ll certainly be sneaking over in-between shows for a quick bite and a browse…

The Erdem x J. Sheekey Atlantic Bar stand will be presented to diners ordering Plateau de Fruits de Mer, from Tuesday 19 February 2019 until September at J Sheekey 33-35 St Martin's Court, Covent Garden, London WC2N 4AL.
