Nestled in Kings Cross' newly-developed Coal Drops Yard (with another store in Angel, Islington, which opened five years prior), S120 is the store to know if one-of-a-kind contemporary pieces have a place in your wardrobe.

Featuring a roster of 26 designers, including footwear brand Portamento – by co-founder of S120, Sara Reverber – there are wonderfully eclectic pieces all over the shop (literally!), so to help us navigate our trip we asked for a 1:1 tour of the highlights, care of Sara.

What Deborah Yellow Floating Flower Jacket by Baum Und Pferdgarten.

Because… "Copenhagen-based Baum Und Pferdgarten are such a cool brand – and I particularly like this piece because of the bold colour and the clashes. They’re never afraid of experimenting with print. This is a really versatile piece: you can wear it over an outfit in the day or as a dress, belting it up and adding a pair of heels. It's super colourful and I’m always happy to wear it."

What… Cyprus Love Jacket and Eva Love Flared Trousers by Fabienne Chapot.

Because... "I love this jacket because I think it just screams "I have fun with clothes and I have fun with fashion", and that’s what we like! We don’t like to take ourselves too seriously, especially in fashion; I think it’s important to have fun with what you wear. If you’re wearing both pieces, you’re head-to-toe pink, so you really have to be confident to wear it as well. I love the idea of looking at your clothes in the wardrobe and feeling happy, and this combo puts me in a very good mood."

What... Donna Pink/Red Cowboy Boots by Portamento.

Because... "I love cowboy boots! I’ve always been a big collector; I loved them before they were fashionable. I think now that they are back in fashion, you can really experiment with colours. This is actually my brand and we are the only ones stocking the brand in the UK, so it’s very unique... you’re not going to find another person wearing the same thing! The styles are all sustainably handmade in Italy via family run factories – and this style is so playful, you can wear them with anything and just the boots make an outfit. You can just wear a plain dress and add some fun with the shoes."
