Arturo Obegero will be in your wardrobe soon, just you wait. His first official fashion show happened in March, earlier this year at the tail end of Paris Fashion Week, and we were looking forward to seeing what he had up his (long and dramatic) sleeves next.  And it turns out, he's just given us something small and delectable to collect... but more on this in a bit!

His graduate collection at the end of his Central Saint Martins MA in fashion a few years back was mesmerizing. Inspired by dance, his high waisted trousers were a sensual, second skin, and the sweep of 3D edges on necklines were dramatic foil to the bland hoodies and normcore that, for a while, overtook closet space of even those most fashionable. His is a black and white world with punctuations of bold red, a world where he strives to make beautiful things that last, in responsible ways.  His Paris studio vows to work with leftover couture fabrics and use natural-fibres wherever possible, planting a tree for every piece sold.

And now he launches his first collaboration, with American artist Mel Odom, which sees the creation of 100 limited edition silk scarves inspired by his surreal art-deco illustrations and the myth of Adam & Eve.

Sensual in its nod to the origin story of desire, purity and transgression, there are four  illustrated narratives screen-printed on 100% silk. For each purchase, a part of the proceeds will go to Doctors Without Borders.

You can buy the limited edition scarves HERE for 200Euros or on arturoobegero.com.
