The waistcoat is back in favour. Having gone on hiatus since the early noughties, it has made a return in force. Gucci's was monochrome houndstooth and Max Mara's longline and peach. For Saint Laurent’s s/s 2020 collection, Kia Gerber wore a simple black waistcoat paired with pinstripe shorts that was very Kate Moss circa 2006.

Whether close-fitting, oversized or straight-cut, neat tailoring has re-established itself in a sea of sportif apparel. Left undone and paired with a billowing blouse, otherwise worn buttoned up with nothing underneath at all, this suiting piece is anything but staid.
