It’s a conundrum that many who are trying to be sustainably-minded often have difficulty answering: how do you satisfy your own desires of treating yourself sartorially, without the act of it enhancing an already environmentally-damaging industry? While this isn’t easily answered, your conscience will be clear if you gift yourself with the Vestiaire Collective and By Far collab.
Having launched earlier this week, Future Collectables is the latest endeavour for the second-hand e-commerce platform, Vestiaire Collective, in further strengthening their sustainability credentials. Partnering with accessories brand, By Far, they’ve created a line of accessories that’s a smörgåsbord of sustainable solutions, as well as style. Encompassed into two parts, you can have your pick of a bag collection that’s been upcycled into something new or an exclusive display of older By Far favourites that have been hand-picked and brought back by the founders. 
The former are our personal favs; hand-crafted by the By Far design team, they’ve used deadstock fabrics from the brand’s factory and pre-loved pieces (in need of rejuvenating) from Vestiaire Collective’s community to create mini bags of maximal appeal. Strutting the streets with this tucked under your arm, you’ll not only be a marker of true uniqueness, but you'll be one without the guilt of damaging the planet. It’s a win win!
