An Autumn/Winter 20 Edit From Coal Drops Yard

Coal Drops Yard unveiled itself after years of construction to be a beautifully developed retail destination designed by Thomas Heatherwick, staying both true to its history as the drop off point for coal along the Regents Canal as well as to its fashion cred being neighbours to Central Saint Martin's. Fast forward, oh, 170 odd years from its origins, and Coal Drops Yard as we affectionately abbreviate it has become THE place to find both curated shops catering to the discerning alongside a popular foodie haven with the likes of Barrafina, Coal Office and Sons & Daughters offering up delicious fare. At the heart of Coal Drops Yard is a sense of craft, love of creating things that make one happy and independent labels that you can't find on every high street.

So when Caroline Issa was asked to style outfits from various Coal Drop Yard shops' AW20 collections, it was taken as both a challenge and a no brainer. She had in fact marveled at the very stylish Coal Drops Yard clientele she'd watched walking by while waiting in that legendary Dishoom line around the square for brunch one Sunday, so she knew this would be a pleasure to really get to know the new collections dropping in their various stores.

And a pleasure it was. From finding the softest caramel-coloured leather dress at TWIIN to pair with tonal burgundies in a cosy A.P.C. sweater and Tracey Neuls printed Derby shoes, to beelining for a blue velvet FOLK tailored jacket and trouser pairing... Caroline was in fashion heaven.
