Fashion shows have long been a creative affair, but nothing can quite top the extravagance of Resort season. Usually taking place in a location far from the fashion capitals editors and stylists know too well, brands spare no expense when it comes to putting on an unforgettable event.

With the pandemic in full force when May and June (the months of said season) came around, as expected, it proceeded very differently from the last. Many designers decided to pull their shows, however, French ubermaison and Resort-schedule staple Dior persevered.

Set in the Piazza del Duomo in Lecce, a small, historical town in Puglia, the Resort show was live-streamed internationally, with a handful Italians and the team able to enjoy the show IRL. Many months on, Dior have now released a documentary which explores the development  and inspiration of the collection itself. Learn about Maria Grazia Chiuri's connection to this special land, how she continues to push the House’s long-established dedication to craft and excellence, and wonder at the season's special collaborations with local artisans in the 33 delightful minutes the film unfolds in.
