Plato first said that necessity is the mother of invention, and he wasn't wrong. As we enter into our third week of working from home, the Because team have been discussing the things that keep us sane and optimistic in these uncertain days. As a platform for sharing the things you should care about, we've wondered how we do that in a light-hearted way.

We all agree that what keeps us happy, makes us cheerful and fosters our dreams is in fact the act of celebrating desirable things made by creative people – objects we could happily treasure – and sharing the manifestations of ideas that become reality.

So as we are taking care in our homes, we bring you our newest feature, Fantasy Wardrobes, shot at home and, with a little digital magic, layered with some of our favourite pieces we've found online. So with a bit of invention and a lot of necessity, we hope to show that the online world is our oyster and do Plato proud.

I've chosen the Saint Laurent Kaia bag because I LOVE a hands free bag. The freedom to walk down the street holding a book, with all my belongings tucked away chicly in my bag, is a little life pleasure and I love the smooth lines of this bag and its long strap, it's subtle luxury at its best.

Minus the UGG fluffy sliders – which has been my WFH necessity – my fantasy wardrobe looks to equestrian chic, as encapsulating a hobby I realistically will never be good at is the most fun form of escapism. It seems Alessandro Michele had the same vision when he designed this Gucci 1955 bucket bag. The hallmark metal hardware – aka. the horse-bit, that was originally designed by Guccio Gucci, was inspired by the sensibility of English racing culture. Therefore, when I'm sitting on my balcony dreaming of horse-rides in the countryside, i'll be wearing this accessory in tow.

Our current intake of sunshine might be limited to an hour a day but that isn't diminishing my excitement for the first days of Spring. The McQueen envelope clutch is the perfect staple for that much needed splash of colour.

The Giorgio Armani La Prima bag has two things I look for in every bag: space and compactness. It's one of those bags that surprises you with how much it fits without looking bulky. I also love that it has a removable mirror that doubles as an accessory to the bag and is handy for a lipstick top up on the go.
