Iterations of IG Inspiration | Hermina Athens

Lockdown may not have ceased, but our patience with confinement is starting to. Bored with our continuous surroundings, finding inspiration and motivation seems to be harder than ever when our days involve trivial tasks. Indulging in a book with a cup of tea, or cooking dinner while listening to a podcast is a momentary way of spicing up your day to day, but why not look to the app we love to shun; Instagram.

Endless scrolls through the social media app may uncover content counterproductive towards our intentions, but with some repurposing and intention at play, we can use it to find the bouts of inspiration unaccessible within our homes. We've asked some creative minds to share the IG's they're liking during lockdown, starting with the creative director of Hermina Athens, Konstantina Pantelous.

If you're in need of a mood boost?

This is a fantastic Greek clothing brand full of colour, prints, humour and positive energy (which is important now, more then ever). We're also launching a collaboration with them; Hermina pieces will be designed exclusively for them and available only on their eshop!

If you're in need of some creative stimulation?

This account is a vintage goldmine, from movies and actors to music, architecture, lifestyle and fashion. I love everything about it.

The contributing fashion director of Vogue Ukraine is for me a style icon. I love how she styles clothes in such a clever way and is not afraid to wear the same pieces over and over again. For me this is what sustainability in fashion is all about.

If you're in need of design inspiration?

I definitely do not search Instagram for design inspirations. This would only confuse me and maybe lead me into subconsciously copy something. What I do love is to search # for actresses or movies from the 70s. This decade inspires me so much! I love this account for old movies...

Leandra is effortless, spontaneous, natural and speaks from the heart. Her wit and sarcasm always make me smile and I love her play on words in every story or post! She is highly amusing and sensitive at the same time, covering all relevant topics. An added bonus is admiring the way this woman stacks her pendants and necklaces. She has been inspiring me for many years now!
