Sales
are an opportunity to buy statement pieces – occasion dresses for cocktails and dinners and celebrations.

Anything Emilia Wickstead makes me happy, and a pink dress with puffy sleeves is right up my alley right now. I have missed dressing "up" and this would be the perfect reason to, let alone piece! I loved this Paco Rabanne collection on the runway when I saw it last September 2019 so it's a great opportunity to invest in one of the pieces at a steal! White. Silk. Rejina. Pyo. Dress. Five words that say it all. Oh, 80% off too with a good range of sizes from 6 to 14 still available. YUM!

If someone had told me that my sale wishlist would consists of an outfit for picnicking, I would have thought they were deluded. But, as the majority of the season has been spent indoors with the little respite being trips to the park with socially-distanced friends, I've found myself itching for that perfect look to elevate my al fresco dining experience.

The occasion obviously calls for gingham, and this dreamy Molly Goddard number gives the right amount of House on the Prairie vibes whilst maintaining a modern edge – it's also a dress with pockets, which is always a win in my book. To carry my picnic essentials, I'll be packing this Carolina Santo Domingo straw tote for its Mary Poppins-esque approach of being able to hold a lot more than it looks. To complete the look, I'll throw on this Andy Wolf pair of cateye sunglasses and these Cecilie Bahnsen and Suicoke sandals (one of my favourite collaborations of last year), and will look forward to prancing in the park in these garnments.

Sale season is a wild ride – the only time I ever allow myself to aimlessly browse through pages and pages of things I don't usually treat myself to without a specific reason. And let me tell you, it's usually worth it. My sales edit favourites most often consist of a range of "things I never thought I needed but will love for years to come.

Case in point: this Olympia Le-Tan clutch. The vibrant statement piece takes my mind back to distant memories of late nights on Isla Mujeres and brings some of the Latin love for life back to London. If this time has taught me anything it's that we shouldn't wait for the ball to wear the gown (or earrings in this case). Instead of letting them gather dust between special occasions, I would wear these stunning Colville earrings with jeans and a t-shirt for a Sunday stroll through Kensington Park – life is too short, right?

This 16ARLINGTON blazer has all the right components to make it on my sales shopping list: timeless staple with a very unexpected twist. And for my final pick, talking about one of a kind finds, it doesn't get more perfect than this Sacai dress.

You won't find me queuing up right on the first day of sales or having my online basket at the ready but before sale season ends, I cave in and start the mind games of convincing myself that I need the same dress but in a different colour.

I'm obsessed with black satin dresses. I think they're perfect no matter the season, they can be dressed up or down and this Saint Laurent midi dress is a slinky godsend for the summer. I'm not a heel person but give me a cute small heel with barely there straps and I'm on board. I've read and heard so much about Nanuska's vegan leather and now that it's on sale, the wheels in my mind are turning and saying it'd be quite the staple wardrobe piece.
