14:00: Just when we thought hemlines couldn't get any shorter, Emilio Pucci proves us wrong. Pinafore dresses with plunging necklines were in noticeably neutral tones but their signature kaleidoscope prints still made an appearance.

Ciao Milano! Our next stop after London is Italy's capital city, join us here to watch the shows as they happen.

Sunday 26th September

13:00: Dsquared2's fairytale flirts with romantic florals and sheer slips whilst patchwork denim and zipper-laden cargo pants add an edge to the reverie.

Saturday 25th September

17:00: Giorgio Armani showed his collection at the Via Borgonuovo, a venue that has a long history with the designer. The collection itself seemed reflective of the brand's journey too, mixing classic Armani tropes with relaxed silhouettes that give an urban feel to the collection

13:30: Salvatore Ferragamo’s show had ribbons in many different sartorial forms: from double bubble dresses to then see them appear as stripe panels on trousers and tops.

12:00: Each designer that’s a part of Moncler’s Genius programme created films in a location of their choice as a way of presenting their next collections with the outerwear brand. The viewing was hosted by Alicia Keys, and the films also contain a few more familiar faces.

11:00: With Back To Life by Soul ll Soul and other 80s hits playing as the soundtrack, you’d expect this MSGM collection to also hark back to sartorial tropes from that era. On the contrary, the silhouettes felt modern and fresh, with the only periodic hints being the highlighter pack colour palette.

Friday 24th September

16:00: Models as well as guests were wearing sunglasses during Sunnei's catwalk show, which featured a mixture of corseted silhouettes and boxy shapes.

15:00: Tulle garments were transformed into tailored masterpieces at Act Nº1, and with a booming soundtrack created by an IRL classical orchestra, the show was filled with drama.

14:00: A first for any fashion show, Prada debuted their SS22 collection in Milan and Shanghai, with video screens showing the same look being worn in China whilst it went down the catwalk in Italy.

13:00: Vien presented a fashion film that questioned the concepts of time and memory.

11:00: Light and breezy: that seemed to be the brief for Sportmax's SS22 collection. From the cream colour palette – with a couple of neon pink and lilac exceptions – to the transparent chiffon dresses, the malleable nature to the pieces speak wearable elegance.

10:00: Whilst skinny jeans have been out of fashion for a while now, Missoni showed that – unlike many noughties sartorial tropes – they won't be making a return, with models walking the catwalk in acid green and silver low rise, wide-leg jeans.

Thursday 23rd September

17:00: Body glitter, ruffled chiffon, butterfly belts and the shortest hot pants you’ll ever see – could this Blumarine collection be anymore Y2K if it tried?

16:00: 40 years of Emporio Armani was marked by futuristic collection, featuring Matrix-esque sunglasses, leather harnesses worn over tailoring and a space-age colour palette.

13:00: Boho babe meets party animal; the Etro SS22 collection paired their signature paisley prints with sequinned patches to create the ultimate day-to-night dress.

11:00: Home run! Boss have collaborated with Russell Athletic this season, debuting a mix of their signature tailoring and some baseball inspired casualwear.

09:00: Block colours were aplenty at the Max Mara show, with head to toe looks ranging between earthy neutrals and zesty pops of clementine and lemon.

Wednesday 22nd September

17:00: Rhinestone bodysuits; cropped sweatshirts; fur shawls: N21’s SS22 collection harked back to fashion tropes of the noughties.

16:00: A binge of fringing, crochet and sand tones shows Alberta Ferretti as the go-to brand for a boho aesthetic.

14:00: Floral frills and origami-like headpieces dominated the Del Core catwalk, further showing their vision of unique beauty.

13:00: The Fendi SS22 collection sparkled down the runway, inducing smiles from the first row guests.

11:00: Kicking off Milan Fashion Week, Marco Rambaldi debuted a modernised version of granny chic for SS22.
