You know it's time to pop into the shops when the weather drops a good 10 degrees and the layering starts. As the new season is upon us, we're excited for the potential of new incoming wardrobe pieces that will stand the test of time. So we've looked to our favourite collections from the likes of Prada, Valentino, Richard Quinn and more and enlisted the amazing Ayo to showcase them here.

Prada's seminal Fall show, the culmination of visions from Raf Simons and Miuccia Prada, went back to basics. The simple white tank (with trademark rectangled logo of course) featured in prime position, while the coat and its XXL shoulders, nipped in waist and fake-furry arm bands in Troll colourways starred at the other end of the spectrum. We'll take it all.

Virginie Viard's Chanel is 100% Parisienne and we are here for it. Amongst the signature tweed and wellies, perfect for a Scottish fly fishing trip (if fly fishing trips were done by Chanel), this black lace number is a sensual nod to the evenings after Gabrielle Chanel’s walks in the local countryside, where she picked flowers and returned home to cocktails and dancing.

Speaking volumes: Roksanda collaborated with sportswear giant FILA to create larger-than-life maximalist looks as comfortable on the runway as in the gym. Well, maybe not every gym. Think oversized volume - duvet-like ponchos, bubble hem dresses and exaggerated shoulders, now and then cinched in with a belt or a drawstring. What a marvelous twist.

Who doesn't aspire to be a “bohemian traveler”? Dean and Dan Canten of DSquared made us all feel wanderlust with their ode to the freedom of exploration and travel. A rich, decadent  velvet suit with a cropped puffer jacket and furry orange platforms,

Game on! Akris' new collection features pixelated designs, making you see the world in squares. In collaboration with the German artist Reinhard Voigt, Akris presents a series of rubix cube style portraits printed on dresses, coats and pants. Sticking to the theme of squares, designer Albert Kriemler sewed together two squares to create the asymmetrical fall of the dresses hem.

Valentino’s monochrome fuchsia pink is everywhere - or maybe it just feels that way as it lives on in our dreams. The new shade called “Valentino Pink PP,” created in collaboration with Pantone exclusively for the label can be seen on everyone, everywhere, including the iconic Milanese club Plastic. Look out for those women brave enough to don their towering pink platform heels.

This Fall season, Richard Quinn's covered creations meant that the erogenous zone was the face.  Intricate embroideries and floral prints abound, all to present the most spectacular of fashion shows of look after look of pretty-meets-bondage. The reality of these clothes is less the quotidian than museum-worthy, but with Richard's new collaboration with Tommy Hilfiger out now, we can gawp at this outfit while grabbing a daisy-monogrammed puffer from elsewhere.

Last but definitely not least comes Italian brand Sportmax and a collection to turn us all into sultry vixens. Sultry for its bodycon shapes and hourglass waists, vixen for its sparkle and come-hither silhouettes. Twilight shades between purple and black, with sprinkles of red, leather dresses and pencil skirts, fingers-dipped-in-colour- gloves and some sexy asymmetry, the brand has ushered in a sensual Autumn 2022 for all of us to dive into.
