June Ambrose is on a natural high. She's in London for a few weeks, her first transatlantic flight out of New York in 2 years and she's brought her newest project for us Brits to see. She signed on last year during the Pandemic as Puma's Creative Director for Womenswear Hoops and while she is more known for styling 90s Hip Hop superstars (she's responsible for creating some of the most iconic, many of which came from her collaborative work with legendary music director, Hype Williams. Seen in Missy Elliot’s ‘The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly), Will Smiths ‘Gettin’ Jiggy With It’, Jay Z’s ‘Feelin’ It’ and P Diddy, Mase & Notorious B.I.G’s ‘Mo Money Mo Problems’ to name just a few, June’s distinct eye and unique creative direction saw her become one of the leading stylists of that era. And now she brings that stylish eye to Puma's athletic wear with a lot of joy.



The UK gets 12 styles of her first collection (the US gets all 22, so we'll have to be patient). Her  Quad jacket zips away layers to reveal a gilet, a fleece hoodie, a parka and multiple more ways of attaching the layers of this clever quilted/nylon jacket that works as well with jeans as it does a pair of leggings ready for the gym.

June has re-interpreted the classic Puma suede sneaker, with creamy, caramel latte shearling and suede for the ultimate city shoe.


Track pants that feature tear-away buttons and details such as quilted sides and thought-through neon smooth tabs for the elasticated waists - this is a collection that brings style and small functionalities that women look for from their Prada coats, so why not their sportswear?

We'll be seeing much more of June and her infectious energy -  more collections are to come, and in the meantime we're much more motivated to work out in her gear as much as slouch in it!
