CHANEL beauty celebrates its latest perfume edition with an immersive Chance Street pop-up
CHANEL Beauty just took over a street in London and it’s a beauty lover's dream destination.
If any brand would manage to find a street with the same name as their fragrance and paint the town, well, purple – it’s CHANEL Beauty. Chance Street is the name, and is now also the site of the brand’s latest pop-up in Shoreditch, celebrating the launch of their newest scent, Chance Eau Splendide.
Until the 5th of May, 4 Chance Street is home to a full-blown fragrance fantasy. Think candyfloss scented with the new perfume, a playful walkthrough experience with interactive games and prizes, a fully stocked glam room and a fragrance discovery bar, where you can sniff your way through the full Chance line-up: orange, green, pink, peach and now, purple!
So what does purple smell like? In the case of Chance Eau Splendide, it’s a paradox in a bottle: sparkling yet grounded, spontaneous but elegant. The newest creation by Olivier Polge, CHANEL’s in-house perfumer, opens with a hit of raspberry layered over rose and violet, giving way to a floral heart of rose geranium (some of which is grown in CHANEL’s own Grasse fields). White musk and cedar keep it smooth and lasting, while a dusting of powdery iris gives it a touch of vintage French glamour.
No tickets are required: just drop in, try your luck with the interactive installations, and immerse yourself in the hall of mirrors pulled straight from the surreal campaign film starring Belgian musician Angèle. In case you require some Spring beauty inspiration, you can book the CHANCE Beauty Service and pick from five customisable looks, Audacious, Delicate, Magnetic, Fresh or Bright. Or come back on 1st May for the Chance Street Soirée: cocktails, DJs, canapés, and a very elevated goodie bag (booking essential, but redeemable).
CHANEL didn’t just launch a perfume. They put it on the map – literally!
