Dakekanba And Snow Barriers, Hokkaido, Japan. 2020

Shin Shinしんしん - Michael Kenna, Photographer’s Gallery

Taking its title from the Japanese phrase shin shin, an onomatopoeia for the stillness of falling snow, Michael Kenna’s beautiful show at the Photographer’s Gallery is a wintry afternoon must. Shot at dusk or dawn, mostly using black-and-white film stock, Kenna’s images of Japanese landscapes are meditative, sensuous and subtly confrontational. The exhibition is on view at the Print Sales Gallery until 25 January 2026.

MING Jewellery - Harvey Nichols, 125 Knightsbridge

To celebrate their 25th anniversary, British jeweller MING will be bringing their finery to the gorgeous new jewellery department at Harvey Nichols for a month-long pop-up. Comprised of 25 pieces, the collection is a celebration of the connections that have been so vital to the brand’s success: from founder Ming Lampson’s birthplace of Hong Kong to her home of West London. Expect pavé sapphires that nod to the vibrant spirit of Notting Hill Carnival, rings in blazing Mexican fire opal and honeyed yellow beryl earrings. You can view “25” until 22nd December.

Crude Hints (Towards) - Charlotte Edey and Ginny on Frederick, No. 9 Cork Street

After taking home the Nicoletta Fiorucci Foundation Prize at this year’s Frieze for Alex Margo Arden’s delightfully witty presentation Accounts, Farringdon-based gallery Ginny on Frederick has quickly become one of the city’s most talked-about spaces. Closing out an exceptional year, the gallery is co-presenting a group show with Charlotte Edey at No. 9 Cork Street, uniting works old and new that explore imagination, identity, and the uncanny peculiarities of memory. The show runs until 13th December.

MG&Co. is bringing a touch of its signature personality to the high street, having opened a new store in Pimlico. Head over to explore their selection of homeware with a twist, and find gifts that speak to both the personal and the practical. Our favourite? The personalised silver and brass matchbox sleeves, which can be custom-engraved on the day. The store is located at 194 Ebury Street, just off the Pimlico Road.
