Hosted in support of charity group Sistah Space, designers Feben and Puma weave together art, food, fashion and culture for a day of community based workshops.

While a day of life drawing might sound like an intimidatingly naked affair, Feben and Puma are here to ease nerves and build community with a more fashion forward day of life drawing events, hosted in support of the women centred charity, Sistah Space. On Saturday 7 December, London-based, Ethiopian designer Feben will host an all-day workshop, providing space for creatives, students and the general public to gather and explore ideas of community through the medium of art and fashion. So, dash away those concerns of stepping out of comfort zones and clothes alike, for this life drawing session aims to allow participants to freely sketch away in an immersive session with live models wearing Feben’s latest collection and styled with shoe of the moment, Puma Speedcats.

While community certainly feels like one of 2024’s buzzwords,  the digital sphere has swallowed many of the physical third spaces that once offered a tangible sense of community. The all day event hosted at St Barnabas in Dalston intends to create a space that is not only accessible to all but aims to nurture community through the practice and appreciation of creative mediums, be it art and fashion. As a standout brand on the London fashion week calendar, Feben has garnered attention from the sartorial crowd with their truly innovative designs. Known for their ruching techniques and fun use of tasselled fabric, Feben’s collection paired with the sportstyle Pumas feels like a true ode to London girl style, serving Fashion (with a capital F) on top and cobbled street suitable footwear on the bottom. Alongside the immersive drawing workshops, visitors will have the chance to sample authentic Ethiopian food courtesy of Gwada Kitchen, served with traditional Ethiopian coffee. With food, drawing, and Sistah Space’s incredible dedication to their community, the event promises to be vital activation while also a truly wholesome experience.
