Fresh off a Hollywood Blockbuster debut during Milan Fashion Week, Gucci's new creative director Demma, took up the challenge at the Italian-Luxury house to introduce a surprising take on its winter sportswear. A blend of high-altitude performance and the House's double G logo motif, the debut collection explores the space between sky and mountain, where elevation becomes both literal and symbolic. How fitting for a brand with a new leader at the helm whose biggest challenge is to skyrocket sales and the brand rizz again.
Alongside ready-to-wear, accessories, and shoes, the House also presents carefully-crafted items in partnership with American-Austrian sportswear brand HEAD. Made for skiing and outdoor adventures, the selection includes skis and ski poles, snowboards, sports bags, and helmets embellished with the House’s emblematic Web stripe, redefining technical sportswear for winter’s most demanding moments. A smart move, to partner with an expert in technical gear, as it gives Gucci's collection the authority it deserves.
By combining advanced performance and signature Gucci style with specially designed technical wear, the collection is engineered with cutting-edge technology and sophistication. Showcasing designs featuring breathable 3-layer constructions, water-resistant finishes, and functional details such as ski-pass pockets and touchscreen interiors.
And in a fun, if surprising twist, Gucci's ambassador, Italian symbol of pride and No.1 ranked tennis sensation Jannik Sinner fronts the collection! Fresh off his summer campaign, showcasing his tennis GG bags, Sinner comments: “This was such a special and unique shoot in the middle of the mountains. I’ve always loved the mountains, and this shoot took place in the most incredible setting. Gucci always comes up with amazing ideas, but this one felt truly magical and was an experience I’ll never forget.”
