Who’d have thunk that washing powder, toothpaste and sun lotion would provide appealing fodder for a collection of luxury scented candles? Anya Hindmarch, of course! After all, a fun and irreverent take on ‘the everyday’ is something this witty designer excels in.

Crafted under the watchful eye (and nose!) of perfumer Lyn Harris, the line of hand-poured candles boasts only the finest raw materials – and, as is Anya’s signature whimsy, comes emblazoned with a series of graphic stickers. Inspired by fond family memories of summer and her tripartite morning routine that goes a little like, ‘snooze buttons, coffee, baby powder’, she launched her first three fragrances during last autumn to rapturous praise. 

This March, a further three scents are unveiled; Lip Balm, a fruit fragrance that melds teenage romance with boy band posters; Toothpaste, replicating the scent of freshly brushed teeth; and Washing Powder, which does as it says on the tin and combines the whiff of a newly made bed with missing socks to conjure an ozonic floral aroma.
